Teen Gets House Arrest; Supplied Beer in Crash

An Arlington Heights youth was sentenced to house arrest andcommunity service Monday for supplying beer to Prospect High Schoolstudents shortly before a fatal car crash claimed three lives lastfall.

Saying it was one of the "saddest cases" in his career, CookCounty Circuit Court Judge Nicholas Pomaro sentenced William Vodicka,18, to 400 hours of community service, working with accident victimsat Northwestern University's Rehabilitation Institute. He also wasput under 90 days of house arrest and two years of probation.
