Qld: Concept Sports to be official on-site merchandiser

BRISBANE, Aug 8 AAP - Goodwill Games merchandise will soon be on sale in Brisbane,
Sydney and Melbourne.

Queensland Premier Peter Beattie today announced merchandising arrangements for the
games, to be held in Brisbane from August 29 to September 9.

Mr Beattie revealed Goodwill Games merchandise - from lapel pins to fluffy toys - would
soon be on sale at more than 39 K-Mart stores across Queensland and selected stores in
Sydney and Melbourne.

Myer's Brisbane city store will be the exclusive retailer of Goodwill Games merchandise
and the only place to sell games countdown pins.

Mr Beattie told state parliament Concept Sports had been appointed official on-site
merchandiser for the Brisbane Goodwill Games.

The company will operate an 800 square metre "superstore" at Brisbane's Southbank from
August 25 to September 9 and will carry more than 150 lines of Goodwill Games merchandise.
