Qld: Surviving siamese twin to miss Xmas at home.
Surviving Brisbane Siamese twin ALYSSA NOLAN is expected to miss her first Christmas at home.
The seven-month-old, born to MARY and SHAUN NOLAN on May 3, is suffering an infection
and has returned to the Royal Children's Hospital.
A spokeswoman says although the infection follows a major operation to replace part
of ALYSSA's skull last month, it's not related to the surgery.
ALYSSA was admitted last week and remains in a general ward.
ALYSSA and her conjoined twin BETHANY were born joined at the head, and three weeks
later they were separated in an emergency operation sanctioned by a late-night Supreme
Court decision.
BETHANY died 16 hours into the operation.
